An SEO Specialist is responsible for improving a website’s visibility on search engines like Google. They analyze website performance, optimize content, build backlinks, and implement strategies to increase organic traffic and rankings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform keyword research and identify SEO opportunities.
- Optimize website pages, titles, meta descriptions, headings, and content.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and fix website issues.
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and SEO performance.
- Create SEO reports using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Develop link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
- Analyze competitors’ SEO strategies.
- Work with content teams to create SEO-friendly articles.
- Improve website structure, internal linking, and user experience.
- Stay updated with Google algorithm changes.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of SEO principles.
- Knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and website structure.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good content optimization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or related fields.
- Google Analytics or SEO certification is a plus.
